LEED Accuracy Update: Platinum, v5 Project Types and Embodied Carbon

A full LEED accuracy pass: Platinum is evaluated correctly, v5 project types use their official names, and VERTIQ now estimates whole-building embodied carbon.

A full LEED accuracy pass: Platinum is evaluated correctly, v5 project types use their official names, and VERTIQ now estimates whole-building embodied carbon.

  • LEED v5 Platinum, evaluated correctly. BD+C, ID+C and O+M projects that meet the Appendix I requirements now reach Platinum. When a requirement cannot be established yet, the scorecard says which one and why.
  • One certification level everywhere. The scorecard, Detailed Info and PDF reports show your confirmed level first, with a line such as "If all pending scores are confirmed: Platinum". A prerequisite that the results show as not met is noted next to the level.
  • Official LEED v5 project types. Projects use New Construction, Core and Shell, Commercial Interiors and Existing Buildings. Projects created as "Unified" are renamed automatically, and their credits now calculate.
  • Whole-building embodied carbon estimate (v5 BD+C MRc2). VERTIQ computes a cradle-to-grave estimate from your drawings and schedules using open life-cycle datasets, shows the source of every quantity and factor, and keeps it as a conditional estimate. An uploaded WBLCA report from another tool is shown side by side.
  • Construction waste from your documents. Waste reports are read ticket by ticket. Monthly facility averages and wood-derived fuel count where LEED allows them, and anything not counted says which document would fix it.
  • Water and calculator exports. SI fixture rates use the official SI baselines, faucets are scored as public or private, v4 alternative water sources count toward WEc2, and the Fixture and Rainwater calculator exports match the October 2026 (V02) workbooks.
  • LEED v4 and v4.1 scoring. Edition substitutions are recorded and shown, exemplary performance follows each version's rules, and several credits no longer overstate points.
  • Clearer feasibility. The headline is a typical target range, assumption-based points are labeled, and energy points follow each LEED version's own curve.

LEED v4 and v4.1 O+M are no longer offered for new projects. Existing projects stay available.
